Transformers Pepsi Convoy Review

Posted by archaznable On September - 11 - 2009

Here is a selection of photographs and a review of the Transformers Pepsi convoy. It doesn’t matter if you are a small child still playing with cars or a grown adult who plays online casino (www.casino.com) in their spare time, everybody loves Transformers. I have taken pictures so you can see how it looks throughout all stages of it’s transformation. I hope you find this interesting and it helps you make the decision if you want one.

All I can say is this one is just good for display on a truck mode only with a Pepsi Can mounted on its trailer truck  but for the robot and poseability its horrible you can only move its arms upward and downward  also you cant move its head. Then the legs cant go sidewase or cant even do a split unlike like those in some TF like Jetfire or some MSIA or EMSIA. Well on the transformation side its pretty simple to master.

ROTF Rampage Review

Posted by archaznable On September - 9 - 2009

Rampage I guess is a part of Devastator but this one is a deluxe class cause I’ve heard that when you completed a Deluxed class separate you can’t transform them to Devastator. Instead you needed to buy the whole box set instead of a separate one to form Devastator. Talk about milking us way to go for marketing on Hasbro’s side.

Well on for the Review … at first when I look at Rampage he was some sort of a Bulldozer. With a bright orange or a yellow color like the one on Bumblebee colors. I love the vehicle mode of Rampage the details was really good on this one. Plus I really like the rubber tracks did I say rubber tracks. Yes folks its rubber alright unlike the other toys that is pure plastic when it comes to a track. The only sad part there is that the tracks and the big wheels is not moving at all when you move it. Instead there are 4 small wheels below them to easily move the vehicle.

ROTF Rampage

The transformation is somewhat difficult cause of its extreme looks and architecture. The rubber tracks is very difficult to collapse cause you didn’t know where the holes of the track should collapse or break it. Another part of its transformation that was very annoying or difficult to handle is its feet and the big shovel at the back. At first you doesn’t have a clue on how will he stand up straight cause his feet was very thin. Well the answer to that is the big shovel at the back. The shovel at the back can become an additional feet to support the whole body. I think that this is the first Transformers that I saw that has a 4 legged feet.

The looks of Rampage in robot mode is very menacing but his face does looks like Brawl. The plus part on his robot mode is again his rubber tracks it acts like a whip that can slice some autobots apart. The downside of his robot mode is his articulation. The arms can only move up and down or side ways he doesn’t have an elbow joint so his arms is fairly straight enough. His legs is synchronized or moved the same you can’t move it individual part of his legs. The only moving individual part is his knees that can be flipped backwards.

I think that Rampage is a triple changer he is on his robot mode, a bulldozer mode and a jackhammer mode which I forgot to transform him on that mode hehe. Well over all Rampage is good he is the most weirdest transformers that I ever had. He does looks like a lego construction thingy when you look at him from afar. I say this is a good buy. By the way Rampage is very photogenic in all aspects cause of his awesome looks. For the score I’ll give him around 7/10.

ROTF JET FIRE Review

Posted by archaznable On September - 8 - 2009

Over all this is really big when I look on some video review of the comparison between LC Jetfire and LC Optimus Prime because I don’t have him yet in Leader Class. LC Jet Fire has the same height but a little bit lower on robot mode. But in the vehicle mode LC Jet Fire is very long. How long the Black Bird mode well it’s like you can take or put the LC Jet Fire above your arm on to your elbow. That’s how long LC Jet Fire is. LC Optimus Prime vehicle mode width is just on it’s after burner fuselage thing hehe. That’s how small LC Optimus Prime vehicle mode is compare to LC Jet Fire.

It is movie accurate it got its arm machine gun where you can put it on its arm. And then my favorite was its cane… lol behold the power of Jet Fire’s cane. This is also were you often see it on the movie. When transforming to vehicle mode this is were all the frustration begun. Because of its big size it’s easy to transform him the only problem is that it’s hard to align him straight. And you will often experience parts that will fall down during the transformation. But don’t worry you can put some pieces back together again easily because the connectors are ball joints.

Robot mode is really awesome you can see a lot of some fine detailing of it. I really like the slashed Decepticon insignia on it’s tail. I also really like his spike beard lol. The mech alive feature is on the middle of it’s chest. When you push it down you will hear LC Jet Fire talks saying “Jet Fire is my name” funny thou his voice doesn’t sound like old when you hear him talk. Then you will see some of the light and some slight movements of his head. While on vehicle mode there is also a botton where you could press to hear the sound of his sonic boom thrusters.

Over all this is highly recommended the only thing is that he is rare for some reasons. But if you go to a toy store and see this guy grab him. It’s worth every peso. Really love his vehicle mode because it resembles a real life aircraft. His vehicle mode is an old SR-71 Black Bird. Also don’t worry about his pointed tip it’s not hard its rubber to avoid injuring your fingers while transforming him.

Over all I give him 8.5/10 why because it’s lack of articulation of this guy. By the way on the packaging LC Jet Fire is Autobot’s but when you look at his tail it is a Decepticon. I think you might be confused here because Jet Fire originally came from Decepticons he switches side because he is dismayed by the leadership of the Decepticons which is a good thing thou lol. So grab him now lol but it will cost you 2,999 pesos hehe.

Transformers Universe Classics 2.0 Tankor

Posted by archaznable On July - 8 - 2009

Box Description: Other Decepticons would call Tankor a dirtbag, if it wasn’t for the high-octane fuel he supplies to them. He’s a sleazy liar who will steal or manipulate anyone, so long as it helps him get his way. As such, he fits right into the most dangerous battlegrounds across the universe, where survival depends on maintaining an advantage. The only reason other decepticons will have anything do do with him is that he always seems to have a supply of fuel when everyone else is tapped out.

1

For the Review

Tankor or should I say Octane on its original G1 cartoon name he is of a Decepticon faction. Tankor belongs to the first wave of TF Universe 2.0 Classics that has a triple changer feature.

I guess that these is the first time that I have a triple changer bot and it feels great to have one. The first grip that I have come across with these figure was its size. Come on Tankor should be put on a Voyager Class because he is a big cargo plane. The second grip that I have come up with was its propellers and the wing tail was very small it isn’t proportionate to its body the plane would look like a Gupy instead of a C-130 Hercules look alike.

3

On its trailer or a truck mode the second transformation of Tankor. There are just some minor grips that I have found. When you transform it you will notice that the propellers again was put on a bad place. It was put way below the drivers seat so when you roll it in the propellers will sometimes touch the ground. Another thing is that the second wheel on the back of the trailer mode the one that you see with a negative sign instead of a circle doesn’t move at all. They have put that wheel in a permanent position with no purpose at all. Instead of an 8 wheelers that are moving smoothly 2 wheels are not at all moving that is really a big dissappointment.

4

The transformation to robot mode was not that kind of really hard actually the transformation was really smooth and relatively easy. The robot mode shines and these is really a solid nice looking robot mode. The only limiting factor was its articulation wise and it was because of its body that doesn’t move left or right. Its articulation is pretty much solid and good the kick test pass with shining colors. It can also do some several kick moves which is awesome.

9

14

The thing that I like about these one was its hand held double barrel beam cannons. It actually has two of them and you can connect them as one forming a quad barrel beam cannons. The thing that I don’t like about its weapon was its melee weapon. It looks like a hand brush to me. That melee weapon of his was as tall as Tankor. That melee weapon was supposed to be a sharp looking claws that can be able to slice an Autobots in half.

20

23

28

All in all Transformers Universe Classics 2.0 Tankor or should I say Octane was a really solid figure. These is really a good start in owning a triple changer if you still don’t have one. So for the score I would give him a 7/10.

Transformers Animated Megatron

TF ANIMATED MEGATRON REVIEW

Box Quotes: Back on CYBERTRON, when it is late at night, and very dark, robots tell each other stories of the war. They spin stories about the deeds of MEGATRON, and though robots don’t feel cold, the listeners shiver. The only ones who don’t enjoy a scary MEGATRON are the old ones, the ones who were there. Those old AUTOBOTS remember the real MEGATRON. Many of them bear scars sustained in the heat of his fusion cannon, or dents delivered by his powerful swords. To those old robots, MEGATRON is no monster; he is a warrior so vicious and terrible that monsters pale in comparison.

Galactic Powers & Abilities:

No known weaknesses
Scientific, strategic and engineering genius
Fusion cannon can disintgrate up to 40 feet of solid steel

TF Animated Megatron Toy Review

This is the new face of Megatron and he is once again reincarnated on the new TF series. I haven’t seen the whole new series yet but the toy class is just awesome. These is the best toy in TF Animated class series. Megatron’s vehicle mode looks like a weird looking hover type alien ship. I know we love to see Megatron on an unusual new form. It has one nasty big canon sitting on the middle when it is in vehicle mode. You can flip two wings on each side and can even flip a landing wheel on the middle down below the vehicle mode. The toy includes a small missile which you can put it in to the canon and can fire away like a projectile.

DSC04527

Transformation to robot mode is actually very easy. I can actually transform it without using the manual for instruction but if you are a newbie I suggest you go for the manual first before transforming it. Articulation on robot mode is very solid and very good, for every movements of its arms or legs has a clicking sound. That clicking sound means that articulation is very good.

DSC04546

This is what awed me is because of its big cannon on his left arm it can hold it forward or upwards, or sidewards with out any problem of looseness on its arm articulation. He can carry it with out any hassle of breaking down an arm or any support that can hold the huge cannon. The arms are double jointed like the ones you see in Gundam’s arm. You can move his hands sideways or in 360 degree motion which is very unique unlike any other voyager class the hands is in fix position.

DSC04551

That is why they made the articulation very rock solid with clicking sounds just because it can balance to carry its big cannon. The big cannon can act as a huge blade by fliping the red ones on downwards. You can also remove the big cannon off of its arms.

DSC04565

The details on TF Animated Megatron is really good I like its original G1 colors like White, Silver, and Black. You can see the Decepticon insignia on its middle chest. The red ones that you see is made out of clear plastic also the hands is made out of a clear red plastic.

DSC04569

In conclusion I will give the TF Animated Megatron a 9/10 this is a very rock solid figure. And is a welcome addition to your growing TF.

Tranformers Universe Prowl

Posted by archaznable On June - 20 - 2009

TF UNIVERSE CLASSICS 2.0 PROWL
Transformers More Than Meets the eye

Box Description: As the right hand man to Optimus Prime, Prowl is right at home in the thick of the battle against the new Decepticon Armies. Confused Autobots are scattered accross the universe, easy pickings for the gangs of more organized Decepticons. As a dedicated administrator and logician, PROWL feels it is his duty to whip them into shape, and get them ready for a fight. It’s only a matter of time until the Decepticons get themselves a real leader. And the Autobots need to be ready.

For the Review

1

Prowl is a highway police car that looks like a Porsche 911. His color is a sporty black and white that has the same color as of his counterpart Barricade from Transformers The Movie (2007). Prowl is an original main characters dates back during Transformers G1. He is one of the right hand man of Optimus Prime.

Enough of Prowls history time for the review. Prowl is among the 1st wave of TF Universe Classic 2.0. line. Prowl’s alternate or vehicle mode is really good. You could see the big Highway Patrol Police mark on both of his doors. The red colored sirens is also good.

3

You can also see the Autobot insignia on its hood that has a color orange. Over all his vehicle mode is really a good one. It really has a feel and look over its G1 counterpart.

As for the transformation. Prowl is hard but not complicated to transform because of its doors sometimes falling off during the transformation process. The ball joint supporting the doors isn’t very tight remedying this would solve the problem. Some say putting some ample of super glue on the ball joint can tightened the loose ends on the door. Just don’t make it permanent once you applied some ample of super glue keep on rotating it until it dries up. This is the advice that was given to me for making the joints tightened. I haven’t done this yet thou.

14

Now on with the robot mode. This is were Prowl really shines I really like Prowls robot mode. The articulation is good the kick test has passed. You can do some numerous poses of him. The only thing that I don’t like on him is that his feet is small very much the same like Hot Rodimus. Another turn off is his gun is really small not unlike its G1 counter part that there gun is big with a nice and shiney silverish color. His head is small what I also like with him is its twin blasters sitting just right on its shoulders like ala Guncannon.

26

So there you have it TF Universe Classics 2.0 Prowl this is really a good and solid figure. If you don’t have Prowls G1 yet these is a very good alternative version over the G1. This is a recommendable TF to start with and I’ll give this one an 8/10.
