The 5th Backdoor Ventures Arts & Music Festival and Trade Fair
Surrender to the sensory journey within. Brace your senses as the 5th Backdoor Ventures Arts and Music Festival takes you to a bigger venue…with an even greater roster of acts never before gathered under one roof!
The annual art gathering is the pioneer of all arts and music events in the country. Now on its fifth year, the Festival promises to showcase a grand lineup of activities, workshops, and performances that it is known for; raising the bar to a spectacular level year after year. With its growing audience and list of participants, Backdoor Ventures is moving to a bigger venue; this year it will be held at the Megatrade Hall 2 – a larger space adjacent to Hall 3, which has been the Artsfest’s home for the past years.
“We’re taking the next festival to a higher level as we celebrate the 5th staging of one of the biggest if not the biggest gathering of artists and musicians from different disciplines and genres in the country.” according to Chief Event Organizer, Jay Viriña
Five years of bringing the people back to the arts and bringing the arts back to the people is definitely a milestone for the entire Arts & Music Festival family… We’re really excited for this coming year’s celebration. It just keeps getting better.” He added.
As always, new and exciting activities will be added into the lineup. For one, schools and University organizations around the Metro will be taking a more active role in participating at the next Festival. The hall layout and the stage design is also something to look forward to!
The 5th Backdoor Ventures Arts and Music Festival will be held on February 5 – 7, 2010 at the Megatrade Hall 2, SM Megamall.

HGUC AMX-011 ZAKU III
HGUC AMX-011 ZAKU III
Reviewed by: archaznable
Snapbuild and panel lined
————————————————————
This is my review for the HGUC AMX-011 Zaku III this is the second version of the Zaku III which is the white one. The other version of Zaku III is the green one that the Custom version. The white is for the mass produced Zaku III.
Now here’s the perspective view of the Zaku III as you can see on this pictures Zaku III is fat but with some huge curves. Those huge curves are the legs armor which has a bat like wings. The feet is uber big. Body armor is really good as well as the arms. The cool thing about this is that it’s shoulder armors. The shoulder armors is like a combination of Zaku I and the Kampfer. The head is also cool because he has 3 antennas on his head which is a very unique one in the family line of Zaku’s.
For the accessories and weaponry. It only comes with four hands and a beam gun with a long beam saber that is attached in the muzzle of its gun. And also a single beam saber.
Here’s another perspective view of the AMX-011 Zaku III. Take note on the back pack of the Zaku III it has a lot of verniers and I think that is like a drop tank on its back pack.
Now on with the articulation well I think that this Zaku III really has a small amount of articulations because of its huge armors that is attached to his body. The Zaku III can only do limited poses like moving arms forward and backwards but you can’t do a raise the arm pose. Also the legs has a limited poses like basic walking stances it can not do a kneeling position because of its uber big legs armor. The left shoulder armor also has some articulations that you can move it through ups or down motion.
In this picture set you will see a special feature of this Zaku III and this special feature is the front skirt armor. That can act as a pea shooter lol … The hand trigger on the front skirt armor is retractable so that it can be held by two hands.
Here you can also see the back pack of the Zaku III you can also move the drop tank holder (the white one) by an up and down motion.
Over all review of the AMX-011 Zaku III is that this kit is good it’s really solid. The only down side of this is the limited articulation that you can only do limited posing. The good side is that this is big it’s as tall as an MG RX-78-2. There are numerous big HGUC out there and I have counted this one as good ones.
So I’ll rate this one 7 / 10
PS. after a year and a half back log in the cabinet. I only decided to build this kit out of nowhere and out of boredom. hehehe
R.I.P Daisuke Gouri
Daisuke Gouri is very most notable in his work as a narrator in various famous anime’s such as Gundam, Dragon Ball, Fist Of the North Star, and other’s. In the Gundam world he voiced as Dozle Zabi (Principality of Zeon) and Bask Ohm (Titans).
In recent news according to Wikipedia On January 17, 2010 at approximately 3:00 P.M., Gōri was found lying on his stomach with blood dripping from his wrists in the middle of a Nakano, Tokyo street by a passerby, who then notified the police. Authorities from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s Nakano station discovered a utility knife under his body as well as a suicide note addressed to his family in his pants pocket. Gōri’s death was then ruled a suicide; he was three weeks short of his 58th birthday.
This is apparently sad news to Gundam fans like me to see a famous voice actor died …
MG GN-X Upcoming Introduction
Here’s the upcoming introduction on MG GN-X ….
This MG version of GN-X isjust so awesome even thou it just have the basic parts the looks is just simply plain amazing. I love the light gray colors of it and some of the features that comes with it like the fake GN-Drive that lights up like the one with the MG Exia has. Plus with the hidden beam sabers on the knee is also cool.

HGUC RX-79 GUNDAM THE GROUND WAR SET
HGUC RX-79[G] GUNDAM THE GROUND WAR SET
Review by: archaznable
Snap build with out Panel lines and decals this is just for the soul purpose review of the kit before I put some details and decals on it.
——————————————
This is my review for the HGUC RX-79[G] Gundam The Ground War Set. This HGUC is also in part with the UC Hard Graph lines since because it has those tiny vehicles like the ones in the previous UC Hard Graph releases. The main part of this set is of course is the RX-79[G] Gundam itself. The RX-79[G] that was in the set is the same as the single box release of the RX-79[G]. The only difference between them according to Dalong.net is the handle bars of the shield that is colored gray and the triple dotted that was colored gray in the knee armors.
Here are some of the perspective view of the RX-79[G]
As you can see in the perspective view from left to right and on the back. The kit is roughly very similar to it’s MG counter part and thank God for that one. I knew they can shrink the MG into a smaller ones with the same details but with a lost of the inner frames.
![[image]](http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2742/4264003313_2cd062e687.jpg)
Well here’s the complete line up of its weapon system the gimmicks and some of its stuff.
The RX-79[G] Gundam Ground War Set comes with a very long collapsible Artillery cannon. A machine, then a small shield, and two huge bazooka gun. It also comes with two small hover tanks, 4 small soldiers, and a 4 pair of hands. It also comes in two extra GM heads that you can interchangeable it with the main head of the RX-79[G].
Well as you can see here’s the small vehicles and a small soldiers that comes along with it. The vehicles is also has a small articulations like you can open the front doors and the back doors and you can also rotate the machine gun turret on top. Just be careful when you rotate the turret since the machine gun is really very small it is prone to breakage or you can lose it by accident.
Well right now here’s view of the main artillery weapon of the RX-79[G] Gundam.
As you can see the main artillery is really long and it’s collapsible too so that you can insert it on the main back pack compartment. The collapsible part is the muzzle of the artillery weapon then the main body of the artillery weapon, and then the hand trigger of the artillery weapon, and also not to mention the magazine itself. Once you collapse the artillery weapon. You can hide the artillery weapon inside the back pack compartment.
Here’s how its look like when you put in the back pack on the back of the RX-79[G] Gundam.
As you can see here you can separate the two blades on the back to make it on a 90 degree position. Then you can slid down the bottom of the back pack holder to really accommodate the big back pack compartment. Cause it won’t fit if you didn’t slid down the bottom holder. And after those procedures you can easily put the back pack and snap it on the back.
Here are some of the several poses of the RX-79[G] but as you can see on the last two pics he is reaching for his beam saber on the right legs. Because the beam saber holder of the RX-79[G] is well hidden on the legs part just the middle of the knee joints of the RX-79[G] Gundam.
Here on this picture you can see that the RX-79[G] is carrying a huge bazooka cannon. The cannon is some what heavy but it can support the weight of the elbow joints of the RX-79[G]. The huge bazooka cannon and the long artillery weapon is the same size as the RX-79[G].
Here on this picture you can see the RX-79[G] pose while holding the long barreled Artillery cannon. The pose is somewhat awkward since you needed to put the shield in front of the muzzle of the artillery cannon for it to support its very powerful fire power.
——————————————-
In conclusion to the review I really love this HGUC set it has a lot of stuff that you can play with. Plus this set is really good for diorama’s if you are planning to build one since it already has small vehicles and small soldiers. The only dissappointing factor on this set is that it comes in with decals lol. I’m really bad in putting decals or im not really good in putting decals. It ends up destroying the decals first before I put it on the kit. I wish they put in stickers instead of decals. That’s really my frustration on decals lol.
So for the verdict of this kit is I’ll give it a 9/10 …
