Welcome to Archaznable this is my own digital virtual playground and a virtual cabinet of my own toy collection. This is were I usually store all of my toys that I usually have and write an article review about it. Actually this site is re-designed countless of many times already so expect for another re-design and re-structuring of the site in the following years. I’ve been in collecting toys since my childhood days.

ROTF Rampage Review

Posted by archaznable On September - 9 - 2009

Rampage I guess is a part of Devastator but this one is a deluxe class cause I’ve heard that when you completed a Deluxed class separate you can’t transform them to Devastator. Instead you needed to buy the whole box set instead of a separate one to form Devastator. Talk about milking us way to go for marketing on Hasbro’s side.

Well on for the Review … at first when I look at Rampage he was some sort of a Bulldozer. With a bright orange or a yellow color like the one on Bumblebee colors. I love the vehicle mode of Rampage the details was really good on this one. Plus I really like the rubber tracks did I say rubber tracks. Yes folks its rubber alright unlike the other toys that is pure plastic when it comes to a track. The only sad part there is that the tracks and the big wheels is not moving at all when you move it. Instead there are 4 small wheels below them to easily move the vehicle.

The transformation is somewhat difficult cause of its extreme looks and architecture. The rubber tracks is very difficult to collapse cause you didn’t know where the holes of the track should collapse or break it. Another part of its transformation that was very annoying or difficult to handle is its feet and the big shovel at the back. At first you doesn’t have a clue on how will he stand up straight cause his feet was very thin. Well the answer to that is the big shovel at the back. The shovel at the back can become an additional feet to support the whole body. I think that this is the first Transformers that I saw that has a 4 legged feet.

The looks of Rampage in robot mode is very menacing but his face does looks like Brawl. The plus part on his robot mode is again his rubber tracks it acts like a whip that can slice some autobots apart. The downside of his robot mode is his articulation. The arms can only move up and down or side ways he doesn’t have an elbow joint so his arms is fairly straight enough. His legs is synchronized or moved the same you can’t move it individual part of his legs. The only moving individual part is his knees that can be flipped backwards.

I think that Rampage is a triple changer he is on his robot mode, a bulldozer mode and a jackhammer mode which I forgot to transform him on that mode hehe. Well over all Rampage is good he is the most weirdest transformers that I ever had. He does looks like a lego construction thingy when you look at him from afar. I say this is a good buy. By the way Rampage is very photogenic in all aspects cause of his awesome looks. For the score I’ll give him around 7/10.
