Robot Damashii AMS-129 Geara Zulu
Review by: archaznable

AMS-129 Geara Zulu is from the Unicorn Gundam OVA this is I guess a beef up Zaku or should I call it the most advanced Zaku II class in the Universal Century era. Zulu and Zaku share the same design and weaponry resemblance with each other. From head to toe, from the shoulder armor to the whole body armor.

What I really like about the Geara Zulu is it’s dark green color and black it’s a really good combination color with a stash of white for details. Geara Zulu is a grunt unit like its Zaku II predecessor. The design really reminds me of a Nazi soldier look (world war 2).

Hence even it’s weapon design really resemble that of a Nazi era weaponry like the Panzer Faust (modern day RPG Rocket Propelled Grenade) an anti-tank that a lone soldier can carry it easily. Stick Grenade or popularly known as the “Potato Masher” a grenade type that was used by the Wehrmacht. The machine gun that Geara Zulu used resemble that of an StG44 sub machine gun.

Well enough of the facts and comparison lets take a look at the articulation of Geara Zulu. The articulation of Geara Zulu was nice it can do a lot of basic poses. The only pose that it can’t do is to split its legs apart. Or you can’t raise the arm up really because the shoulder armors are blocking the way. Another is that you can’t rotate the body to its full 360 degrees you can only rotate the body just 1/4 of it.

Coolness factor of Geara Zulu is really awesome and up the scale I really love how they carry there weapons on the back. And how compact it really was. The weapons that Geara Zulu that can carry on its back are Beam Tomahawk, Panzerfaust, and two stick grenades. Also there are a hand full of magazine clips up on its front skirt armor.

Front and side skirt armor are also articulated you can move the front skirt armor up to make way for the legs to make a kneeling pose. Also you can move the side skirt armor to make way to split the legs just a little bit apart.

The Geara Zulu weapons and accessories includes are the Beam machine gun rifle, stick 2x grenade, a rocket propelled grenade, and a 2x beam tomahawk. Plus it has an assorted hands and a plain front skirt armor which you can swap it with a front skirt armor that has full of magazine clips.

Over all Geara Zulu is a kick ass Robot Damashii fig you will be awe struck by its awesome array of assorted weaponry and a handsome looks. If you wanted to have an MS grunt unit that has a lot of weapons on it then this is the one for you. I’ll gonna give this one 4/5
